Soup's On

Simple, clean design for these take-and-heat soups!

Caffeine

Love the packaging design on these coffee cups! So colorful. Beats brown cardboard any day.

Crumpled Map

Cool, simple design. Good idea for a product.

Vintage Packaging

Its strange to see toothpaste packaged in this way. And I can't imagine a charcoal toothpaste!

Milk

Love the implied texture of the design on these milk packages.

Penhaligon's Christmas Gift Collection

I love the color combinations and design of this packaging. It's unique and festive without being so strictly "Christmasy."

Better Butter

I found this packaging design on the Dieline. I thought it was a great way to make a "to go" package of butter that includes a knife for spreading. It comes in a couple flavors and allows you to bring one less thing for picnics or school lunches.

Fashion Band-Aids

Why not cover up with something a bit prettier than a standard "skin color" band-aid? They don't successfully conceal the fact that you were injured anyway.

Flour Pot Branding

I really like this packaging for Flour Pot Bakery via the DieLine. I love the hand-rendered look of the font and its organic feel written on the paper bag packaging. Almost like a list doodled while drinking coffee at a cafe.

Fast Food Fashion

Thought this was an interesting concept. Combining fashion labels with fast food packaging. Kind of an oxymoron. The design is sleek though.

Command Love Prints

I found these prints through another website and thought I'd share them. They utilize the command key in witty typographic posters.

They are from a company called Atmostheory. I think I might have to get my hands on some!

First Post

This is my first foray into the world of web design and blogging (though I do read a TON of blogs) so please excuse the lame design at first. I'm working on learning all the tricks to make this blog standout.

After my typography class, and perhaps all my life, I've enjoyed looking at type. I enjoy using different styles for different projects and especially like hand-rendered type. I found this artist out in the blog world who uses type to create some interesting art pieces.

This piece for example uses lines from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet to create a unique arrangement.

This is a closeup on the same piece. You can see how much detail and time he must put into these projects. He hand cuts all the words out of each book and arranges them in these intricate collages.
